My name isΒ Krisha Marcano, and I am the Founder and Creative Career Coach at The Artistry Center Network, LLC
I spent the first 8 years of my career in dance companies like The Martha Graham Dance Company & The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater; I transitioned to Broadway for the next 17 years where I was blessed to do a number of great broadway hits like Fosse, Disney's Aida, Sweet Charity, originating the role of Squeak in Oprah's 2005 production of The Color Purple, and Motown the Musical.Β Β
I received my BFA at SUNY Purchase School of Dance and my MBA in entrepreneurship at Kenney College. I am now an Assistant Professor of Theatre Dance, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs & Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Drama.Β
I volunteered for 7 years as the co-chair of the Business Group at Career Transition for Dancers and realized I could continue to be of service teaching entrepreneurial and artistic wellness to my community of performing artists by creating The Artistry Center. Β
I've lived, survived and thrived as a dancer, singer, actor in New York City, toured nationally and internationally, started a number of companies and continue to speak on the importance of Art in Education, Innovation and 'The Businesses of Tomorrow'.Β
